Laua'e Lei
Some lei are kept long after the occasion has passed. The flowers fade and dry on a shelf or in a drawer, but you still remember the moment: who stepped forward, placed it over your shoulders, and held you a second longer than usual.
On Kauaʻi, lauaʻe is a fern loved for its sweet green fragrance. It grows thick across the cliffs of Makana on the North Shore, where it has been honored in song for generations. Woven into lei, it marks the days that matter: graduations, weddings, homecomings, goodbyes at the airport. It’s no accident that the word lauaʻe also means beloved.
This candle carries that scent: fresh, leafy green softened with a hint of vanilla, like a lei just placed around your neck.
Light it for a celebration. Light it for someone far away. Light it for the people you carry with you, wherever you are.

Candle Care
- Trim your wick to ¼ inch before every burn
- On the first light, let the wax melt almost all the way to the edges — this sets the memory of the wax and prevents tunneling
- Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time
- Keep away from drafts, direct sunlight, children, and pets
- Retire the candle when ¼ inch of wax remains, then clean the vessel and give it a new life
